Cyclists Continue to Use Political System to Spread Chaos

As we well know cyclists like getting laws passed that make it even easier for them to create havoc on the streets. Whether it is a 3 foot law that makes it harder to pass them, or having their local governments spend millions to build bike lanes they won’t use, cyclists love to manipulate the political system to feed their own sick pleasures.  Here are some of the latest ways they are doing just that.

First comes a new law spreading out west that allows cyclists to yield at intersection where they would otherwise have to stop at red lights or stops signs. For starters this is a huge waste of legislative time by local governments because cyclists do not stop at these intersections to begin with. But let us pretend that cyclists actually obeyed the rules of the road. This would let cyclists decide if they think they need to stop when they come barreling through an intersection. This is not letting a car turn right without coming to a complete stop if the coast is clear, this let’s cyclists plow through an intersection without stopping. This is currently being proposed in Aspen, and was already law in Idaho for several years. Check out that link for some hilarity.

As dumb as this law is, in rural areas like Idaho it is probably not that big a deal, but imagine laws like this in heavy traffic areas and metro settings. Absolutely amazing someone would want this to pass, even crazier, some actually voted for it to do so. Just further proves the last thing cyclists care about is safely getting from A to B or enjoying a peaceful bike ride. It is 100% about being a menace on the streets.

Next comes cyclists wasting more money by asking for special traffic lights just for them. These can be used for a variety of reasons and mean different things depending on where they are set up, but essentially they are more tax dollars wasted at cyclists’ requests. Cyclists do not obey red lights or stop signs, why spend money to create separate lights for them?

Cyclists excel at using the political system to their benefit. They get laws passed to make it easier to harass pedestrians and motor vehicles while tying up traffic even more and overall spreading disorder on our nation’s roadways.  And while cyclists are constantly claiming they wanted to be treated as equals on the roads and they seek to have the same rights and rules of the road as cars, they constantly contradict themselves by asking for special treatment because they are on bikes.  The examples keep piling up.

  1. As a cyclist, I believe everything you are saying is a crock of shit. Sure there are cyclists that don't stop at red lights if the intersection is clear, but if you look at places in Europe that are actually have thriving cyclist communities, even cities in your own country that are incredibly bike friendly most cyclists and motorists have a general respect for each other. Personally as a urban cyclist, I stop at EVERY SINGLE red light, and EVERY SINGLE stop sign, regardless of what time it is, whether its 2pm or 2am, I obey traffic laws AND, I signal every time. I do realize like I mentioned before that there are people who don't follow the laws that are implemented for their own safety, but maybe if you stepped down from your high horse and hung up your car keys for a week, and actually rode your bicycle everywhere you had to go in a 8 mile radius like I do, you'd actually understand how hard it is to be a cyclist sometimes with pig-headed motorists like you. Do you know how many times I've almost been hit, or doored while obeying traffic laws, because motorists aren't doing their part to watch what's going on around them?

  4. I like how you talk about cyclists "barreling" and "plowing" in this post, implying they are moving so fast, it's a hazard to all, yet in your other posts you talk about how cyclists are so slow they ruin everyone else's life. Which is it? Am I too fast for you, or too slow?

  5. It's a shame these douche bag cyclists are making the roads so unsafe for our law abiding citizens. Whenever I hear about a cyclist being mowed over by a car, I find out where the funeral is and I go to mark the grave site. Then I come back later and piss on it. Burn in Hell, homo cyclist douchebags.3

  7. This blog is a joke right? Well, it is clearly a stupid joke, I'm just wondering if the person posting this stuff is joking or is actually kind of unbalanced and is serious.

  8. You realize that motorists don't stop at Stop signs either, right? Ever watch the wheels? If there's no opposing traffic, motor vehicles invariably roll through. I won't even bring up constant speeding. Or how motorists go around faking 30,000+ deaths a year to gain sympathy.
