A Call for Peace and a Call to Action.

Cagers in Virginia Beach are starting to fight back. See the local news story here:

In between cyclists lying and video evidence of cyclists running stop signs you will see that a few of the residents here have taken to fighting back. Throwing tacks on the roads where this scum rides, pelting them with Big Gulps, and in one case even knocking a rider to the ground. Yes, cyclists are known to frequently fake these injuries to garner support, but let us assume they are telling the truth here. As always, we at Spare the Road support a peaceful solution. Next time you are late for work or your kid is late for school because you got stuck behind an army of douchebags on bikes, don’t lower yourself to their level. Instead, take political action.

The reason cyclists have so many laws in their favor, and in some states literally have a license to kill, is because they show up at town hall meeting and local politician’s offices to demand these legislative advantages. They write letters, and make calls, and have a very powerful lobby that has a lot of sway in most local and state governments. As you saw in the video, the mayor dare not call out the cyclists for their debauchery. To get real change, to really get these idiots off the road, you have to be louder in the politician’s ears than they are.

Easier said than done, right? Unlike cyclists most of us have families we care about, jobs, and other productive activities that normally functioning human beings fill their days with. I know it can be hard to find the time to write your state senator or mayor a letter, or give their office a call, or make it to a town hall meeting. But it is the proper way to get these jackasses off our roads. Violence is not the answer.

Be the bigger man and do what it takes to make the roads safer for everyone.

REALLY????.....Have you bothered to check the prices of bicycles these days? Evidently you only shop at Walmart.

    1. This guy's a simple slob who never rides a bike. When he can find his penis again, and something less than 300lbs to stick it in, maybe he'll get it. Probably not. Feed him donuts.
